At 3mm thick you can add a fusible decal or a fusible accessory glass and keep the diameter and weight of the glass pendant to a comfortable wearing weight.  When determing the overall comfort, consider the weight of the bail and the necklace.  Your fused glass design is of course the number one attention grabbling but comfort should always be considered too!
