Black Thin Opal is super smooth and a lighter weight option at 2mm thick. It is a favorite for making handmade fused glass jewelry or as a base glass when you want to add a layer of decorative glass components because it allows you to reduce the overall fused glass thickness of your artwork by 1 mm. Sometimes you will hear it called a Double Rolled sheet glass because this 96 COE glass is very smooth. Because it is thinner by 1 mm it is also easier to cut and break straight cuts.  Thin Black opal should be your go to glass as a base glass.
