96 COE Glass Shape Humming Bird Wafer Set

This fusible precut 96 COE Glass Wafer Humming Bird Shape is a set of two humming birds. One each in Teal and Purple transparent powder and then covered in a Pearlescent Interference Powder Color of either Blue or Violet to give that Iridescent shimmer!  Each is only 1mm thick. At 3 inches in diameter it will fit most fused glass projects and precut glass circles! Humming birds are perfect for nature scenes or for making a coaster, Hummingbird have many meanings including good luck, healing, joy and messages from angels!  In general, they are thought to bring positive energy

When firing, make sure to go slow and read the blog article (below).  The wafer will fire flat and smooth but if you are adding frit you can leave them dimensional at a tack fuse.  If you decide to fire the entire design to a full fused, then we recommend adding clear power frit over the entire tree.  then any layer medium frit.

Fused Glass Project:

96 COE Precut Humming Bird Wafer on a Nightlight base glass adding cut offs of Wafer sheets for the flower and leaves.  Accented with fine layers of 96 frit powder in darker shade for shadowing and depth. (You can apply powders with a spoon.) We suggest using a liquid hair or liquid glass glue sprayed over the top to hold in place to transport it to the kiln.  Then proceed with the recommend initial slow firing to allow all of the glass glue to burn off and drop onto the surface of the base glass.  Full fusing is not necessary.  We suggest a tack fuse 1st, then if needed slump your precut night light base glass to form your fused glass nightlight shade.
