    Primer applicator haik brush (#41601)
    Diamond Polishing pads (#41612)
    • Small Paint Brushes
    Mold Cleaning Brush (#41600)

    1. Prepare Mold Glass Casting Molds Apply 3 to 4 thin coats of Primo Primer Primo Primer (#41515) on the mold using brush Primer applicator haik brush (#41601). Use a blow dryer to dry between coats or air dry. Each coat should be dry before the next coat is applied.

Note: Re-apply primer after each firing. Use a stiff bristle brush Mold Cleaning Brush (#41600) to remove spent primer.

    2. Fill Mold Fill mold with frit until the frit is mounded above the mold.
Note: You can add any of our small precut glass shapes but we recommend that you position them in the bottom of the mold before you add frit.

    3. Final Preparation for Firing Use a brush to tuck frit down on the sides of the mold before fusing. This keeps the frit from sticking to the sides of the mold while fusing.

    4. Fuse
Place mold on kiln posts in kiln; this will ensure an even flow of heat around the entire mold. Fuse using the firing schedule below:

Note: Let the kiln sit unopened until the next day. This will give your project plenty of time to anneal back to room temperature.
