Glass Grinders 2018 Changes the Shape of Art Glass

Glass Grinders 2018 Changes the Shape of Art Glass

The biggest names for Art Glass Grinders has always been Glastar, Diamond Max, Inland and Gryphon. But in the last 18 months, with big changes in the ownership of COE 96 Art Glass Manufactures, it should be no surprise we should expect the unexpected in the other supporting sideline businesses.

For those of us with Inland Grinders, we have been struggling to find replacement parts and original grinder bits and if we did find them, the prices were very high. Well Inland was purchased last year by Reentel International. As they transitioned Inland they were working on building inventory, just like we experienced with Oceanside Glasstile with the integration of Spectrum and Uroboros companies.

This month, August, of 2018 we have had two big announcements regarding the future glass grinders! We have a new grinder in town made by Techniglass and Inland announces product availability and pricing.

Techniglass Announcement:

  • Large Surface Area: 12" x 16" (30 x 40 cm)
  • Whisper Operation with a torque of 57 oz/in (0.4 N/m) at 4500 RPM
  • Vibration dampening technology absorbs shock
  • Universal Compatibility Electrical with a removable 3-prong cord which meets international standards and is 110-220 VAC compatible.
  • EZ-Fit Elevated Secondary Work Surface with built in water reservoir and Aqua Flow System
  • PRICE: $299 Includes:
  • The Grinder

- LumiShield Eye Shield
- Grid Scraper
- Quick-Fit Bit System 1" & 3/4"
- Aqua Flow System & Brush
- EZ-Fit Elevated Work Surface

Inland Announcement changed their business model:

  • Established and actively enforcing a Minimum Advertised Price (MAP)
  • Forbidding the sale of new Inland products on eBay, Amazon, or other third-party websites
  • Instead Inland will be listing products on, Amazon, or other third-party websites. Prices will be at or above full MSRP.
  • Inland will be selling direct to end users, at full MSRP
  • Many products have been dropped from the line entirely, some may return

Reentel's manufactures Grinders and parts as well as flat lap machines, tumblers, diamond saws, diamond drills, etc.
